Seit mehr als zehn Tagen protestiert ein großer Teil der iranischen Bevölkerung gegen das unterdrückerische Regime der Mullahs.
Was mit Protesten auf Grund der fatalen Wirtschaftslage begann, entwickelte sich in kürzester Zeit zu einem weiteren Aufstand gegen das islamistische Regime. Neben Händler:innen beteiligen sich vor allem die Frau Leben Freiheit Bewegung und viele Studierende an den Protesten.
Wie zu erwarten reagieren die Schergen des Regimes mit äußerster Härte. So wurden inzwischen mehr als 30 Protestierende getötet und weit über 1000 festgenommen.
Und trotzdem bleibt der Protest bestehen.
Gerüchte über mögliche Fluchtpläne des geistlichen Führers Khamenei und einzelne Städte, vor allem in den kurdischen Gebieten, die nicht mehr unter Kontrolle der Machthaber stehen sollen, nähren die Hoffnung auf einen politischen Wandel.
Gleichzeitig wird in der Öffentlichkeit zunehmend der Kronprinz Reza Pahlavi als möglicher neuer Machthaber ins Licht gerückt. Er ist der Sohn des 1979 gestürzten Schahs. Eine Monarchie als Alternative zur islamistischen Tyrannei? Die Opposition ist im Hinblick darauf gespalten.
Wir sind solidarisch mit allen, die sich im Iran gegen ihre Unterdrückung wehren. Mit allen, die in den Kerkern der Mullahs eingesperrt sind und vor allem mit den Angehörigen der Ermordeten.
Wir sind solidarisch mit all denen, die für eine emanzipatorische Gesellschaftsidee streiten. Wir hoffen, dass der Kampf gegen die Unterdrückung bald eine Ende hat und die Bevölkerung selbstbestimmte Strukturen schaffen kann.

For more than ten days, a large part of the Iranian population has been protesting against the oppressive regime of the mullahs.
What began as protests against the dire economic situation quickly developed into another uprising against the Islamist regime. In addition to merchants, the Women Life Freedom movement and many students are participating in the protests.
As expected, the regime’s henchmen are responding with extreme harshness. More than 30 protesters have been killed and well over 1,000 arrested.
And yet the protests continue.
Rumors about possible escape plans by spiritual leader Khamenei and individual cities, especially in the Kurdish areas, which are said to be no longer under the control of the regime, are fueling hopes for political change.
At the same time, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi is increasingly being touted in public as a possible new ruler. He is the son of the Shah who was overthrown in 1979. A monarchy as an alternative to Islamist tyranny? The opposition is divided on this issue.
We stand in solidarity with all those in Iran who are fighting against their oppression. With all those who are imprisoned in the mullahs‘ dungeons and, above all, with the relatives of those who have been murdered.
